"Machine
Identification Numbering System" This unique numbering
system identifies the equipment and/or facilities that you
will be performing maintenance on. All information should tie
to these numbers. This field can be up to 16 characters long
and is supported by other fields such as class, type,
manufacturer, etc. |
| CMMS |
"Computerized
Maintenance Management System" This is some type of
software programming that constitutes an application that will
allow you to document all pertinent PM information and
automatically generate the PM & CWO work tasks. |
| PM

This
is merely the two major types of work orders you use. PM being
a work order of the "Preventative Maintenance" type,

"Repair" type. |
| UPTIME |
Time
that your equipment operates properly, performing the task

| MTBF |
"Mean
Time Between Failure" This is the average time between
failures and is computed from the amount of time the machinery
is operated divided by the number of failures during that
time. 90 hours operating ÷ 9 failures = Avg
10 hours between failures. 10 Hrs MTBF |
| MTTR |
"Mean
Time To Repair" This is the average time to repair
and is computed from the total amount of time taken to repair
the machinery divided by the number of failures during that
time. 63 minutes to repair ÷ 9
failures = Avg 7 Minutes To Repair. 7
